Tony Chang

Tony has business management and consulting experience in a range of pharmacy and industry settings focused on strategy development, execution and commercialisation of novel health care services. He has developed competencies including business acumen, operation management, stakeholder relationship understanding, design thinking and project management. His career demonstrates a track record of formulating and implementing sound strategies whilst acknowledging operational complexities, industry trends and environmental disruptions.

Tony draws on his diverse background to provide the right breadth and depth of critical analysis suitable to each situation.

Tony’s previous experience includes:

• worked extensively as a managing pharmacist in community pharmacies in metro and rural Australia
• provided management consulting services to State health departments, public and private hospitals, community pharmacies and multinational pharmaceutical companies
• commercialised novel health care services within the primary health care model
• managed and provided advice in the procurement and implementation of pharmacy robotic systems in a number of large tertiary / teach public hospitals
• designed and implemented community and aged care medication reconciliation, review and adherence services
• collaborated with Diabetes Victoria and BOC to promote quality use of medicines
• collaborated with Griffith University and YMCA NSW and successfully piloted a community Mental Health Clinic
• completed postgraduate research in preclinical cancer pharmacology
